Youth Fishing Derby at Del Venturi Reservoir.

17th Annual Youth Fishing Derby at Del Venturi Reservoir. Pre-register for the fishing derby by calling the Rec Center at (831) 386-2406. 

Calling all young anglers! Fort Hunter Liggett’s Family and MWR is hosting the 17th annual Youth Fishing Derby at Del Venturi Reservoir.  All youth ages 15 and under will be able to fish without a fishing permit.  There will be a contest for the top three biggest fish caught.  Food packages available for purchase CASH ONLY. $1 drinks $5-Burger with chips and soda. $5-2 hot dogs with chips and soda. CASH ONLY

Fishing will have a limit of 5 fish per youth.  For more information.  Please call the Rec Center at (831) 386-2406.  Event registration begins at 0630 Youth fishing begins at 0730.

After the Family and MWR Youth Fishing Derby ends, Del Venturi Reservoir will remain open for fishing for participants that have a valid California Fishing License. Anglers are not required to purchase a Fort Hunter Liggett Fishing Permit. Del Venturi Reservoir is subject to be closed without notice due to battle rhythm.
