Hunters must have a Fort Hunter Liggett hunting permit, valid California Department of Fishing and Wildlife hunting license, species tags and/or stamps and photo identification.
Outdoor Recreation does not issue state licenses. Visit www.dfg.ca.gov/hunting for more information.

As of January 1, 2018 The Fort Hunter Liggett Outdoor Recreation will transfer the Fishing Program to the Environment division.
As of July 1, 2018 Family and MWR will transfer the Hunting Program to the Environment division.

We offer camping sites of all styles. Our primitive campground is the perfect setting to pitch a tent and get back to nature. A separate area for RVs and trailers is equipped with electricity and water hookups.
We also honor Golden Age passes. Call Outdoor Recreation to make your reservation.

1. Must submit DD214 or VA ID Card with a copy of drivers license or state ID2. Permit applicant must be a military member on active duty status E7-E9, an officer or Military Retiree (submit copy of CAC Card or Blue Retiree ID Card)
3. Permit applicant must be a military member on active duty status E5-E6 (submit copy of CAC Card)
4. Permit applicant must present a copy of a CDFW youth hunting license
5. Permit applicant must be a military member on active duty status E4 or below (submit copy of CAC Card)
6. Will require permit if selected. Application fee will be applied to permit cost. No additional preference points will be awarded following year
